To think. To design.

Hello all,

Now I feel like everytime I update my blog I have to say this lol, "sorry I haven't update for so long"

Today, with no reason, I walk up to my bookshelf and start reading all the design books I had bought. Nothing particularly interests me...except for the big white book title "Designing Design" by Kenya Hara. After reading two chapter, it answers many questions I'm trying to figure out for many months, including many famous quotes from Paul Rand. I fascinated by the philosophy and principles of design he is trying to express. So simple, yet so complicated, this book is a result of pure intellectal thinking in the process of design combined with endless imaginative quality.

For those who appreciate designs. I recommend you to get this book.

here's what written on the back of the book.

"To understand something is not to be able to define it of describe it. Instead, taking something that we think we already know and making it unknown thrills us afresh with its reality and deepens our understanding of it. The whole world looks different if you just put your chin in your hand and think. There are an unlimited number of ways of thinking and perceiving. In my understanding, to design is to intentionally apply to ordinary objects, phenomena and communicating the essence of these innumerable ways of thinking and perceiving."
